This national effort can be considered as a key step in Sri Lanka's civil registration and the plan to digitally transform the key statistics (#CRVS) system.
#OneRegistry jointly implemented by UNDP Sri Lanka (United Nations Development Program) and WHO (World Health Organization) under the UN Sri Lanka SDG Fund is to create an inclusive, interactive and citizen centered platform for legal identity and public services. Alokabandara, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government; Varuna Dhanapala, Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy; Marc-André Franche, Resident Coordinator, United Nations Development Programme in Sri Lanka; Ms. Azusa Kubota, Resident Representative, United Nations Development Programme in Sri Lanka; and W.R.A.N.S. Wijesinghe, Registrar General. This critical national endeavor is a cornerstone of our efforts to digitally transform Sri Lanka’s Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (#CRVS) system.
